The Brazilian Blow Dry can deliver a perfectly straight result in some hair types, but it is not a hair straightening treatment. A keratin treatment is designed to deliver long term temporary smoothing results. Your natural curl pattern will return after approximately 4 months.

A straightening treatment uses chemicals to alter the curl pattern of your hair permanently and your curl pattern will only return with new growth. Ladies with chemically straightened hair who are looking to transition to natural hair may use the Brazilian Blow Dry to smooth out the difference between new growth and the relaxed hair.

Can I Have a Brazilian Blowdry With Hair Colour?

Unlike other smoothing or straightening treatments, the Brazilian Blow Dry can actually help to improve the condition of colour treated hair. The keratin treatment conditions the shaft of the hair and seals the cuticle locking in the colour, reducing frizz and enhancing shine.

If you wish to colour your hair before your Brazilian Blow Dry, your colour service would need to be at least two weeks prior to the smoothing treatment. If you wish to colour your hair following your Brazilian Blow Dry treatment you would need to wait up to 2 weeks.
